About Us
First State bank of Mineral Wells was chartered in 1987, and since its founding has been headquartered in Mineral Wells. We are a true community bank independent, local, and fully invested in making Palo Pinto County a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. We operate two full-service banks: one in Mineral Wells and one at Possum Kingdom Lake. We also have a multi-lane motor bank that is open extended hours to provide greater convenience to our customers.
In early 2008 the bank underwent a partial change in ownership and management. While retaining an emphasis on friendly and professional service, as well as a strong financial foundation, today the bank is also reaching customers throughout the community with expanded products, updated technology, and deeper investment into local organizations.
